2016 Oral Health Education Program
Jockey Club Smiley Action Programme - Smiley Action Day

Jockey Club Smiley Action Programme is an event funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust in 2016 aimed to provide oral health education in the community. Smiley Action Day is one of the activities of the programme.
Smiley Action Day held on 26 November was co-organized by the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong and suppported by the district council member Mr. Cheng Keung Fung. Free oral health screening was provided to about 150 adults and 100 children. Some of the adults also had an extraction on the mobile dental bus on that day. Flouride treatment has been provided to most of the children. There were totally 600 people participated in the event. Some people were referred to our dental clinics for complicated treatment, such as surgical extraction and dentures, under the dental treatment sponsorship programme funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.
Shamshuipo Love Teeth Day 2016
Date: 23 April, 2016 (Saturday)
Venue: Fu Cheong Estate, Shamshuipo
The program is organized by Project Concern Hong Kong and the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong, and co-organized by the district council members Mr. Leung Man Kwong. Oral health screening was provided to about 150 adults and 110 children. Some adults also received a basic dental treatment on the mobile dental bus. Fluoride treatment also provided to most of the children. There were totally 300 people participated in the event. Oral health consultation booth and game booth also set up for the public and total 670 people participated in the event.
Kwai Hing Love Teeth Day 2016
Date: 5 March, 2016 (Saturday)
Venue: Open Area outside Hing Yat House and Hing Lok House of Kwai Hing Estate
The program is organized by Project Concern Hong Kong and the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong, and co-organized by the district council members Mr. Leung Chi Shing. Oral health screening was provided to about 100 adults and 60 children. Some adults also received a basic dental treatment. Fluoride treatment also provided to most of the children. There were totally 300 people participated in the event. Oral health consultation booth and game booth also set up for the public and total 300 people participated in the event.
Tai Po Love Teeth Day 2016
Date: 30 January, 2016 (Saturday)
Venue: Fu Sin Estate, Tai Po
The program is organized by Project Concern Hong Kong and the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong, and co-organized by the district council members Mr. Kwan Wing Yip and Mr. Yam Kai Pong. Oral health screening was provided to 102 adults and 84 children. Some adults also received a basic dental treatment. Fluoride treatment also provided to most of the children. There were totally 300 people participated in the event.
Oral Health Education Workshop

We were invited by International Social Service Hong Kong Branch to conduct an oral health workshops for ethnic minorities in Tung Chung on 9 January 2016. The talk was conducted by Dr. Tina Lam. About 30 people participated in the workshop. Dr. Lam gave a talk on common health problems and its respective treatment. A demonstration of proper way of teeth brushing was also given to the participants.
